Yoshimi Ohara

With a strong corporate and IP background, she has extensive experience in dealing with disputes covering a wide range of subjects, including joint ventures, M&A, energy, construction, technology transfer, intellectual property, shipping, sales and distribution.

Ms. Ohara also serves as an arbitrator in international arbitration. She has contributed to shaping soft law in international arbitration through IBA activities.

Our international arbitration team has been representing, and providing strategic planning assistance to, both domestic and foreign clients for years in international arbitration under the rules of various institutions, including the SIAC, ICC, ICSID, AAA/ICDR, JCAA, LCIA, CIETAC, HKIAC and UNCITRAL rules.

Our team has particularly deep knowledge and expertise in arbitration involving emerging markets, where our clients need to resort to not only contract claims but also investment treaty claims against states or state related entities.
