Dr. Antonios Tsavdaridis is the Head of Arbitration at Rokas (Athens), he specialises in dispute resolution, with a particular focus on international arbitration.
He has more than two decades of experience in disputes involving arbitration before the leading arbitration centres around the world and under the most widely used arbitration rules (including ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules et al.), and has acted in a variety of arbitral seats, including London, Paris, Geneva, Zurich, Vienna, Stockholm, Frankfurt-am-Main, Athens, Helsinki, Bucharest etc.
Dr. Tsavdaridis has acted as counsel, advisor or arbitrator (chairman and co-arbitrator) for many parties including governments and multinational corporations in various disputes involving issues of privatisation, M&A, insurance, shipping, international trade, agency & distribution, construction, energy, investments.
He also has more than two decades of extensive litigation experience before Greek Courts of all instances, in complex cases involving the same areas as in arbitration.
Education:
Dr. Tsavdaridis graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School, earning his Diploma in 1989, an M.A. in Conflicts of Laws in 1993, and a Ph.D. in International Arbitration, awarded summa cum laude, in 1998. He also holds an LL.M. in Arbitration and Maritime Law from the London School of Economics, completed in 1993.

The firm regularly handles arbitrations conducted under leading institutional rules, including those of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the European Court of Arbitration (ECA), as well as the Vienna, Zurich and Stockholm Rules. It also frequently represents clients in ad hoc proceedings, particularly under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
The firm has acted in arbitral proceedings seated in numerous major jurisdictions, such as London, Paris, Geneva, Zurich, Vienna, Stockholm, Brussels, Frankfurt-am-Main, Athens, Helsinki and Bucharest.
