Her practice is firmly international in scope, with experience spanning proceedings involving parties, institutions, and legal systems across Asia and beyond. Seung-Min combines private practice experience with first-hand knowledge of leading arbitral institutions, having served as counsel to the London Court of International Arbitration Secretariat in 2010. That experience gave her direct exposure to the administration of international arbitration proceedings and complements her work representing clients in institutional disputes.
Seung-Min has also developed significant professional experience in Singapore, one of Asia’s principal arbitration centres. In 2016, she worked as a Registered Foreign Lawyer with Oon & Bazul LLP in Singapore before returning to private practice in Korea. She later joined Peter & Kim as a Partner in 2020 and now leads the firm’s Singapore office. Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade with Shin & Kim, first as an Associate from 2007 to 2015 and then as a Partner from 2016 to 2020.
Alongside her client practice, Seung-Min is actively involved in the international arbitration community. She currently serves as Director of International Affairs at the Seoul Bar Association and is a member of KCAB Next. Her international roles include serving as Regional Ambassador for Korea to HKIAC’s HK45 and as a member of the SIAC Users Council for the South Korea national committee. She has also previously served as the South Korean national representative of the International Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Committee and as Korea regional representative to the LCIA’s Young International Arbitration Group.
Seung-Min also contributes to dispute resolution as a neutral. She is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the Asian International Arbitration Centre and serves as a specialist mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Centre. She is additionally a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has been appointed to the KCAB Panel of International Arbitrators for the 2025–2028 term.
Her professional background reflects strong ties to both the Korean and international legal communities. She is a member of the Korean and Seoul Bar Associations, is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales, and is registered as a foreign lawyer with the Singapore International Commercial Court. Seung-Min graduated from Seoul National University and completed an LL.M. at the National University of Singapore in 2016.
Through her combination of advocacy, institutional experience, cross-border practice, and work as both arbitrator and mediator, Seung-Min has developed a broad perspective on the conduct and resolution of international disputes. Her career has placed her at the intersection of Korean, Singaporean, and global arbitration practice, while her continuing involvement with leading arbitral institutions and professional organizations keeps her closely engaged with developments across the international arbitration community.
