Milton Estuardo Argueta

A lawyer with over thirty years of professional experience, Milton Estuardo Argueta has worked predominantly in the arbitration, banking, securities, corporate, and tax (administrative litigation) areas.

He has participated in national and international consultancies on various topics, including draft laws, national legal frameworks, etc.

Graduated as a Lawyer and Notary, with a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from Francisco Marroquín University (Guatemala).

He holds a Master’s degree in International Arbitration (Francisco Marroquín University) and a Master’s degree in Finance and Business Law (Pontifical Bolivarian University, Colombia). He also holds a PhD in Law from Francisco Marroquín University.

Likewise, his academic training includes: Postgraduate in Commercial Law (University of Salamanca, Spain), Diploma in International Contracts and Litigation (Universidad Austral, Argentina), in addition, he completed specialization courses in Commercial Law and various postgraduate courses in Arbitration.

In the academic field, he has served as a Full Professor at Francisco Marroquín University in courses such as:

• Companies
• Negotiable Instruments

Milton has served as an arbitrator in various national and international arbitrations. He has also been a member of ICSID Annulment Committees regarding investment arbitration awards.
